Upon your arrival at New Yogyakarta International Airport [NYIA], you’ll be warmly greeted by your driver and transferred to your hotel.

This evening enjoy a welcome dinner with your fellow travellers and your Big Journey host. 

After breakfast, we start our morning exploring the magnificent Borobudur Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the world. Learn about its 9th-century history and admire the intricate relief panels and Buddha statues. (Please note, climbing the monument is subject to availability.)

This afternoon we head to visit Candirejo Village for an immersive experience of Javanese rural life. Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll discover the village’s traditions, farming practices, and, if in season, you can even pick fresh fruits. We will have lunch during our tour. 

Today travel like a local in a traditional Becak, taking in the highlights of Yogyakarta. We start with a visit to Alun-Alun Kidul, where you can explore the Sultan’s backyard and its historical charm. Next, we head to Taman Sari (Water Castle), a former royal leisure spot, before immersing yourself in the tranquil, historic atmosphere of the Sultan’s Palace (Keraton).

Continue to the Sonobudoyo Museum, where you'll discover Javanese art and culture. Finish the day with shopping and people-watching along the bustling Malioboro Road.

In the afternoon, we head to visit the Prambanan Temple, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, renowned for its iconic architecture and rich history. Enjoy a simple, traditional lunch during your tour to complete the experience.

Today we will head to Tugu Train Station for a relaxing scenic journey to Malang aboard the Malioboro Express Train. Lunch boxes will be provided. 

Upon arrival, your driver will transfer you to your hotel in Malang, where you can enjoy a relaxing dinner

Begin your day with a becak tour of Malang, starting with the scenic Ijen Boulevard, where colonial-era charm fills the street. Continue to the colorful Chinese Temple, a vibrant and iconic site of worship, before heading to Jodipan Kampong to admire the stunning murals painted by local students.

Take a break at Toko Oen, a historic eatery, where you can enjoy a coffee, ice cream, or lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, travel to Tumpang and transfer to a jeep for a thrilling sunset adventure in Bromo National Park. Explore the vast Sea of Sand, hike 1.5 km to the beautiful Coban Pelangi Waterfall, and trek to the Crater Rim, where you can stand at the edge of Mount Bromo’s volcanic crater.

Finally, enjoy a stunning sunset from a viewpoint over the park’s otherworldly landscape. The day concludes with a comforting dinner box before returning to the hotel. 

An early morning wake up call today as we head out in the Jeep's to the Bromo viewpoint to witness a stunning sunrise. We will then continue onto the Sea of Sand and hike to Mount Bromo’s summit for a surreal, moon-like experience.

Afterward, return to your hotel for breakfast and a refreshing shower and enjoy the morning at lesuire. 

Later, transfer to Surabaya Airport for your flight to Bali. Upon arrival in Bali, you’ll be driven to Ubud, passing serene rice fields, temples, and craft villages along the way before arriving at your hotel for the night. 

Today we head out to discover the spiritual heart of Bali with a guided tour. We’ll begin by learning the traditional art of creating a Canang Offering, a meaningful Balinese practice. Then, we’ll continue to Gunung Kawi, where we can explore ancient royal tombs set amidst stunning rice terraces.Next, we’ll visit Tirta Empul, a sacred temple, where we’ll participate in a holy purification ritual.

For lunch, we’ll enjoy a meal at Yayasan Café, a heartwarming initiative that supports young people with special needs, allowing us to experience both the flavors of Bali and the impact of a community-driven cause.

Enjoy your final day in Bali at your own pace. 

We have some optional activites to take part in:

Option 1: Morning Trek in Kenderan Village Explore picturesque rice fields, temples, waterfalls, and connect with locals. Includes lunch at a family home.

Option 2: Central Bali Tour Visit Taman Ayun Temple, Jatiluwih rice terraces (a UNESCO site), and Ulun Danu Beratan Temple on Lake Beratan.

Option 3: East Bali Tour Discover cultural gems like Kertha Gosa, Tenganan Village, and the serene Tirta Gangga Water Palace.

Or simply relax and enjoy Ubud’s tranquil atmosphere.

This the morning, we head to Bali’s southern coast, starting with a visit to Uluwatu Temple, perched on a dramatic cliffside, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. We then continue to Padang Padang Beach, a serene and hidden spot known for its picturesque beauty.

Afterward, we enjoy a fresh seafood lunch at Jimbaran Bay, where we can relax on the beach or explore the local area.

In the evening, we return to Ubud for a farewell dinner at a traditional Balinese restaurant, celebrating the incredible journey we’ve shared.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Ngurah Rai International Airport [DPS] for your flights home at the end of your wonderful Indonesia adventure.
